There is a good and easy to use video editing software that I recommend. It is a superlative fit for those that want basic editing for a myriad of reasons.
You may want to remove part of a video and then use it for a YouTube Channel. Maybe you wish to add or mute audio content.
It could be feasible you wish to split the video into several segments to have multiple options to upload or share.

If you remember Windows Movie Maker (which should never have been discarded by Microsoft), VideoPad is similar (with more features). There is not a large learning curve.
